We are now looking for a full-time Fundraising Manager to lead our fundraising activities in Finland (maternity cover: February 2018 to April 2019).

The fundraising department's key responsibility is to maximise income from individual donors by inspiring and engaging our donors and building effective committed relationships. The Fundraising department's aim is to ensure a cost effective, ethical and sustainable fundraising base to meet the needs of Greenpeace in the Nordic region.
About the role:
This full-time position based in Helsinki is responsible for managing the fundraising department of Greenpeace in Finland, and for working closely with colleagues across Nordic to investigate, test and evaluate new fundraising initiatives.
The role’s responsibilities include strategic planning, budget preparation and management, leading a team of professional and experienced fundraisers to achieve income and expenditure targets, and creating a diverse and secure fundraising base.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Lead, motivate and manage a team of professional Fundraising staff, in line with the organisational aims and objectives, in order to ensure the effective performance of the unit.
- Be an active member of the Fundraising Management Team which drives the strategy for Greenpeace fundraising across Nordic.
- Take the lead on the ongoing long term development and implementation of the strategic fundraising plan to maximize fundraising opportunities in the Finnish market.
- Lead the development of annual income and expenditure budgets.
- Drive the development of innovative techniques to attract new donors and to develop deepening and more relevant relationships with existing donors.
- Provide strategic advice, strategic direction, problem solving and guidance across all the fundraising programs in place in Finland, including Direct Dialogue, Digital, Telemarketing, Donor Care, Major Giving and Donor Relationships and Marketing.
About you:
- At least 4 years experience in Fundraising leadership
- Bachelors degree in Marketing, Business or other associated field and /or equivalent work experience
- Significant experience in managing high volume fundraising programs (both acquisition and retention)
- Knowledge of Data Analysis and Segmentation
- Ability to support and guide staff, inspire team spirit and resolve conflicts, communicate effectively by demonstrating strong listening skills, and negotiation skills
- Capacity to manage multiple projects, work to a timeline, work with sensitive information, work with minimal supervision, deal with stressful situations and meet deadlines
- Decision making skills to ensure the efficient delivery and the high quality of work in the department within a framework of operational, professional or creative guidelines, and the capacity for setting up relevant benchmarks
- Committed to furthering Greenpeace’s campaign goals as well as the organizational development of Greenpeace Nordic
- Fluent in Finnish, Excellent English
