Project Leader to catalyse large scale civil society action
Project Leader to catalyse large scale civil society action
Greenpeace Nordic is in search of a Project Leader to implement a two year project titled “Empowered Citizens - Resilient societies”.
The project is designed to catalyse large scale civil society action to meet today’s urgent challenges of climate change, more refugees seeking safe haven in Europe, the rise of right-wing populism, and eroding liberties in many European countries. We want to create inspiring materials, trainings, and new connections, which will empower thousands of mostly young Europeans (18-35y) to take leadership for their future, and drive social change at great speed.
“Empowered Citizens - Resilient societies” is a joint project between different Greenpeace offices such as Greenpeace Nordic, CEE, Greece and the human rights group Civil Rights Defenders. Greenpeace Nordic acts as the lead partner organisation and will provide leadership and coordination for this project through the Project Leader.
The position is a full time temporary position ideally starting in December 1st 2017 or as soon as possible and ending December 31st 2019. The position will be based in a Nordic capital and require travel within Europe and particularly Nordic countries. A later starting date can be negotiated depending on the availability of the successful candidate - however, not later than January 2nd 2018.
